Welcome to Good Ol'Trucks ....."Project Showcase". We will be showcasing our projects in a blog format. We currently have two projects on the go....... A 1953 Mercury Half Ton(98% done I might add) and a 1956 Ford Panel. As we started on the projects we quickly learned we had a lot to learn about a lot of things. Our intent was to do as much as possible ourselves and to hire out only that which we couldn't afford to screw up.....or didn't have the machinary to do the job. So far we have learned, with a lot of practice and some appreciated guidance from some very patient friends, we can do pretty much everything ourselves. It's been a real challenge at times but what a sense of accomplishment you get out of this type of hobby. I hope you enjoy the pictures of the rebuild as much as we enjoyed doing it.........(except for the skinned knuckles, cuts to the forehead, and trips to the hospital to have metal removed form the eyes, not to mention the hours of trying to remove paint from almost all parts of my body.....how did it get there???)
