Welcome to the new and hopefully improved website of Good Ol'Trucks. Our aim is that you can find something that may interest you or perhaps share your knowledge of good old trucks with us and others that visit the website. Some features are currently unavailable as we are working toward upgrading them, so please check back often.
As one ages, a greater respect for, and appreciation of, "old things" develops. As this website develops you will no doubt see that we have a great love for classic Ford and Chevy trucks. That is not to say, however, that we don't find great interest in all vintage vehicles but this seems to be our current niche.
A while back, as a father/son project my son and I purchased a '28/29 Model A. That was the beginning of a great hobby that soon spread to include a number of others including my daughter, her boyfriend and my son's almost wife (we hope).......... We quickly became interested in pickups and purchased a '53 Mercury half ton which is high lighted in the following pages. It is now finished and is the focus of many very good memories and a few broken knuckles. I am currently retired and have been working on my '56 Ford panel truck which is also high lighted on this website.
This is not a professional website by any means and it is not meant to be. It is a way of focussing interest on my family and some of the things we can enjoy together. You are invited to contribute to the website as well. We would be happy to show off your project to others that share this interest. Visit the projects section for information on how to get your ride on our site.
Another great way to contribute, is to publish an article in our "new articles" section. Here, we will be posting articles related to good old cars and trucks..........from tips on finding a vehicle to hot-rod or rebuild, to "how to's" on restoration or rodding your "new" old ride.
Please feel free to leave us a comment, either by email, in our site's guest book, or on of our blog entries. Enjoy the ride............
